Peacock Gudgeon (sexable)

Really lovable and curious little nano fish. They will notice me around the tank and will follow my hands and fingers around the glass. The bright blue, red, yellow (with a tinge of black), and that signature "peacock tail spot" are distinctive and beautiful.

As they get comfortable you can find them at all levels of the tank, out in the open, or hiding in their secret spots. They love 3/4" PVC tubes and other narrow spaces.

Raised in soft water, with a pH around 6.7 and water temperature of 24C/75F. Take your time acclimating them if your water is different, especially if you don't have a lid, and you have a high water level! I've seen (and heard) them jumping in the first few days after moving to a new home. That stops once they've settled in and made friends.

They accept high quality pellets, frozen foods, and will go crazy for live foods whenever available. They reach a maximum size around 3".
